Wikileaks pubblica nuovi documenti sulla guerra in Iraq

Il 22 ottobre Wikileaks ha pubblicato circa 400 000 rapporti di soldati americani riguardanti gli eventi della Guerra d'Iraq tra il 2004 e il 2009.

La quantità di documenti pubblicati rende la vicenda la più grande fuga di notizie dell'esercito americano. I documenti riportano più di 109 000 morti durante il periodo 2004-2009, tra cui 66 000 civili, a comporre il quadro di quello che Julian Assange, fondatore di Wikileaks, con parole dure, non esita a definire «un bagno di sangue».

Le annotazioni descrivono scene di tortura e di abuso, che pare siano state commesse dai soldati iracheni.
