Bot


Per avere lo status di bot, occorre:

  • Registrare un'utenza con la parola bot compresa nel nome. Questo non è obbligatorio, ma caldamente raccomandato, perché facilita il riconoscimento del bot stesso a chi deve controllare le pagine
  • Annunciare in questa pagina le principali funzionalità del bot stesso e i campi di intervento previsti.
  • Verificare il comportamento del bot su un congruo numero di pagine (né troppe, né troppo poche); preferibilmente sottopagine dell'utente in modo che eventuali errori non danneggino le voci.
  • Raccogliere un certo numero di pareri favorevoli di altri wikinotiziani che hanno controllato le modifiche effettuate dal bot, da riportare qui.
  • Attendere che un burocrate approvi la richiesta, dopo aver controllato che non vi sia nessun parere contrario.

Un bot che debba inserire solo interwiki non credo che necessiti il flag (almeno da noi) visto che tanto non può floodare più di tanto (contando al massimo un edit per articolo al giorno la media penso che sia intorno ai 3-4 giornalieri) ed è più semplice per tutti controllare gli interwiki, soprattutto perché conosciamo tutti i problemi connessi agli interwiki contenuti nei template, se non li risolviamo si complica il lavoro dei bot ed è bene poterli seguire. --Darth Kule - Comlink 14:53, 22 feb 2008 (CET)

  • 0. Oggi il bot ha aggiunto parecchi interwiki, in gran parte mi è sembrato che non ci siano stati problemi, però ha aggiunto anche gli interwiki già contenuti nel famigerato {{traduzione}} (uso). Mi sembra un po' stupido negare lo stato di bot solo per questo, ma indubbiamente il problema va risolto (io non sono in grado di farlo, se qualcuno fosse capace ci darebbe una grossa mano) altrimenti il manovratore (o il patrollatore di turno) sarà costretto a controllare ogni singolo edit e si perde così l'utilità del bot. --Darth Kule - Comlink 16:09, 28 feb 2008 (CET)

I can go ahead anf fix them myself but I think {{traduzione}} (uso) should not create intwerwiki links.
The template should merely link to the source page without the interwiki link ([[xx:link]]) but still link interwiki ([[:xx:link]]). Mind the extra ":" before the second link. Interwikilinking via template creates problems such as the interwikilinks not being ordered alphabetically. Interwikilinking should be delegated to bots as it is a mindless task. The template {{traduzione}} (uso) should only be altered to remove the interwikilink after bot processes every page with {{traduzione}} (uso) (to make sure nothing is missed). Similar problem was raised on de.wikinews with de.wikinews version of this template.
All this is assuming the community agrees.
